FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CENTERS
STIC provides education support for schools, families, and students through a vast portion of the Southern Tier and surrounding areas. The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center, established by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Special Education (OSE), is a vital part of a statewide network dedicated to enhancing services and supports for students with disabilities from birth to age 21. By fostering a collaborative, team-based approach across New York, the FACE Center works to improve educational and developmental outcomes for these students, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities needed to thrive.
STIC’s FACE Center is committed to empowering families, schools, and communities through meaningful partnerships and comprehensive support. We provide families with the tools and knowledge to actively participate in their child’s educational journey, fostering strong, collaborative relationships between schools, community organizations, and families. Through regional learning opportunities, targeted skill-building groups, and intensive partnerships, the FACE Center delivers information and training to both providers and families, driving improved outcomes for students with disabilities across the state.
