At STIC, we believe technology can open doors to greater independence for individuals with disabilities. Our vibrant TRAID program and loan closet showcases an array of tools—from simple, homemade devices to state-of-the-art technology items—designed to enhance daily living. Visitors can explore hands-on displays, experience live equipment demonstrations, and receive expert guidance on accessing the right solutions for their needs.
Need to test before you invest? Our short-term loan program offers durable medical equipment and assistive technologies, including wheelchairs, TTYs, walkers, tub seats, commodes, iPads, and much more. Plus, when supplies allow, some items may even be available at no cost! Whether you’re seeking practical advice or innovative tools, the TRAID Center at STIC is your gateway to a more independent, empowered life.
Eligibility - Anyone who lives in our five-county region (listed below) is eligible for TRAID services. No prescription, referral, payment, or documentation is required to borrow equipment from our loan closet. If you or someone you know is in need and lives outside of our service area, we can help you find an alternative TRAID program.
